Teaching My Kids Respect

One thing we have taught our kids is to not touch anything without asking.

Aside from their things of course; I'm referring to anything they can get their hands on!

Staying on Track Today

Luke 18: 1-8

Reflection: It is so encouraging to know that God is the Just Judge and responds to our prayers. 
A great reminder today.

My Prayer: Change me, change situations. 

Start with the need to change self, align your heart and life with God and then pray for other situations.

Attending Church For The Right Reasons

Has this ever been your experience at church? It wasn't necessarily the greatest service but God's Spirit was there. (See 'Holy Spirit Topics' to learn more about sensing His presence).

God is omnipresent, unfortunately He's not always welcome to move freely to accomplish His purposes in some churches or peoples lives.

Christmas Day

The kids are contently playing with their gifts,coming now and then to give a random hug, mom is reading a magazine about the Royals and Kevin is "testing" the boys toys.   

That's all great, but I am loving the incredible sense of God's Spirit. A feeling of completion, peace, and hope. Completely satisfying.

What a treat to attend church this morning with random people, who for whatever reason, decided to include church in their Christmas Day celebrations.

As I close, I encourage you to talk to God, thank Him for sending His Son to a manger, to live, grow up and eventually die in our place as our necessary sacrifice for where humanity falls short of His perfect Holiness.

Survivor. The Year in Review.

I was recently asked to consider sharing my testimony. I thought about it. What would I say? How would it come across?

I've been through the 'Just Walk Across The Room' study and I know it's good to have a one minute blurb ready but this would be more than a minute, this would be the whole evening.
